Gymnastics Class

This is the same day (I know, two classes in one day - back to that in a moment), so I only had my camera phone so the quality is pretty bad, but boy were they having fun!
Sidney was originally signed up to have gymnastics one day and dance another day, but they called and said that not enough kids had signed up for her class so we could pick a different day if we wanted..........well, since we were here that day anyway, I just signed her up for one after the other.

So, because we were already there we actually got there early, so while he was setting up the teacher let the kids play with the hula-hoops

I let the boys and Kendall play too since the class hadn't started yet (and the teacher didn't mind) and boy did they all love it!

Cameron kept wanting to go back in the back room to see where the teacher was getting all the mats from. I kept having to chase him before he got ran over

Cameron eventually joined in the fun too. The teacher would sometimes throw it with a backwards spin on it, so it would go forward a little and then come back and Cameron was actually able to catch it!

Carter was loving throwing them around....look out Kendall!

Carter says "Look Mommy, can we get one of these?"

Here it is coming back to Cameron

Sidney was all over the place too

the girls wanted to pose for a picture, but they were collecting these sticks (Sidney is really into sticks lately), and I think she got Kendall in the eye.

Now Mommy has a good idea of what to get the kids for Christmas this year. Of course we will probably need more than one as I can see the fighting already. I'm going to try not to go over board this year as they have SO MANY toys already, (lately I've been taking them away if Sidney won't help me pick them up.........when I say "Ok, Mommy's going to take them away then" she just says "ok" and she hasn't really missed them..........DARN IT!!!!!) Maybe Auntie is right...............they do have too many toys.

Sidney's Dance Class

Sidney had her last dance class of this session the other day..............and I didn't realize it was the last one, where you get to watch and they do a little performance so I didn't have my camera. Please excuse the quality of these pictures, they were taken with my cell phone. (They're still cute though!)

and fourth position (I think...........it's been awhile since I did this)

All my Little Ducks in a Row

After dinner the other night Sidney moved her brothers over by the glass sliding door while they were still in their booster seats, and then moved her chair over too. I thought maybe she was going to play like they were watching a "show", as she calls it. At one point they were all leaning forward and putting their hands on the glass, (but of course, as soon as Sidney saw me break out the video camera she wanted see it..............I'm not sure how to get it in her head that she has to let me actually record her doing something first before she can watch it? She can't be doing it and watching it at the same time.) It was cute, but kind of nerve-racking too as Carter was a little farther away and was leaning forward.......I could just see his chair falling forward and him crashing through the glass door.

Roman was saying something about them getting the slider all dirty as their hands hadn't been washed yet, and I was thinking And that would be different from every other day how? (they are always putting their hands on the door, wanting to go outside. Nothing stays clean for long in our house...............have I mentioned that before?)

"Let's look outside................the backyard is pretty exciting, isn't it?"

While I was picking up and Roman was making dinner (he actually likes to cook and is better at it than me and I had an idea of what to cook, but am just soooooooo exhausted by that point in the day) I put on a Baby Einstein for a few minutes as the kids were getting very impatient and Sidney likes to lay on the coffee table, even though we don't like them up there, and Carter actually got up there first and was very intently watching. I can already see them wanting to be just like their big sis!

Just sittin' at home

It was cute. I was vacuuming the other day, so I picked up some of the toys and I put this house/door toy on the couch to move it out of the way and Cameron climbed up there all by himself to sit there and play with it. It was in Sidney's room, but I brought it down to the family room and now the kids are playing with it all the time, even my nieces and my sister had gotten rid of hers.

My Little Sports Fanatics

It was so funny, the other night we were watching the last of the Olympics and the boys were just glued to the TV. I hadn't realized before that they were so into sports. It was one of those, they are just like their Dad moments. Roman will watch any kind of sports at any time. It doesn't matter if he has a vested interest in the teams or not.

Sidney was watching the closing ceremonies here and there............but it's funny, on the weekends if I'm planning on going out to the store or something I've hear Sidney tell Roman before "Now no baseball Daddy!" She's like me, I will watch it if I care about the team, but most of the time I couldn't care less. I do however, love basketball! But, I haven't gotten to see it in quite awhile .....

Playing with Big Sister Sidney

It's still very hot out, so the kids are keeping themselves entertained inside.

I was trying to find a picture for Roman's Aunt on the computer to send her and I went to go do something downstairs and when I came back Sidney was spinning her brothers in the chair in the den. (Carter)

they were having so much fun...........I love to hear them giggle (Cameron)

spinning is fun!

the other day Sidney wanted someone to play dress-up with her and Cameron was not up for it....so we tried it on Carter.............he was ok with it

he looks so cute! (these will be blackmail pictures later in life for big sis)

I was rearranging some family pictures in the family room and Carter decided that the stool looked like a good chair (and to drink Mommy's breakfast)............then Sidney decided to join him, she just climbed right over him

The Early Mornings continue.........

I'm not sure what's up with the kids..........I know they were tired and went down at a decent time last night, but then Sidney was up again before 5am. We tried to get her to come lay down with us, but she was talk, talk, talk. She wants all the lights on and eventually wants me to go back to her room and lay down with her.......after a little bit I finally got her to fall asleep, for at least a little while........her bed is small and not that comfortable for two, so when I woke up a little while later I tried to climb out of her bed and go back to ours, but she woke up again as I was closing the door...............humph! I tried to get her to lay back down as it wasn't even 7am yet, but she was awake.........then she says "go Mommy", because she wants to go in and wake up her brothers. I put the gate on their door, so she couldn't go in there and managed to let them sleep a while longer. Then, the night before Cameron was up for quite awhile between 3 & 4am and then Sidney got up before 6am again. Plus, the kids all have colds now, so runny noses, wanting to be cuddled all time.....................and there's no slowing Sidney down......she's more mischievous than ever.............making a disaster area wherever she goes. My younger niece is here two days a week still and when she's here Sidney seems to have a partner in crime and is even more into everything. Somehow I don't think that today will be a very productive day......Mommy is pretty brain dead .........and exhausted! I really need to start going to bed earlier........shouldn't we be over this phase by now???????

Another 4am wake up call

Ugh.........Sidney was up again at 4:00am this morning. She's been waking up almost every night since we've been home like clock work at 4. Some nights she'll wake up around 1:00am, but then she's up at 4am again also...........Mommy is sooooooooooooooooo exhausted! I'm having a hard time sleeping anyway and last night she was up for more than an hour! I'm not sure why she is waking up, if it's because she slept with me every night in WA and we lay down with her when she goes to bed (a habit we really need to get her out of. We've tried, but she will keep coming out of her room and be up so late.)
It's going to take me awhile to get moving this morning..............

Why do I even bother?

Well, we made it to Sidney's gymnastics class................late of course, but this time I really can blame the kids..........Sidney and Kendall locked themselves in the playroom. Now, if they can lock the door, how come they can't unlock it????? It just turns the opposite way. It took awhile for me to be able to use the pin thingy to unlock it. Sidney was saying, "go get Mr. Mark to help" - our neighbor who knows how to do anything and everything, whose door we knock on a lot when I need some help and Roman's not home.
Sometimes....................ok, A LOT of the time I wonder why I even bother picking up toys, or vacuuming or mopping. It never stays clean for long and then looks like I never did it.
Case in point....................I cleaned up the playroom last night so that I could vacuum and then I was mopping and Roman comes home and goes "What's for dinner?"...........I'm thinking I don't know, what ever you're making...........I'm kind of busy here.........anyway, so my point is that the room was clean. I emphasise WAS.......

Here's what it looked like this afternoon (and they had only played in there for an hour before her class and a short time after we got back from her class.) I had started lunch, but it was apparent that Carter was not going to make it...........he was already melting down. So, I changed the boys and laid them down and came to get the girls to wash their hands......and this is what I found. (I had already picked up the dress up that was all over the floor before we left.)

Sidney and Kendall had gotten into the craft drawer and had decided to paint.............without any paint brushes, or smocks on and to paint themselves and the table and floor..... (oh yeah.... she's used a sharpie on her table too.............and again when Daddy wasn't looking. I had done pretty good up to that point keeping her table in pretty good shape...........I even scraped off some whiteout with my nails when it wouldn't come off after trying a multitude of other things.)

Sidney had already gotten paint on her carpet before.................the "washable paint" that's not really washable. We definitely need to get the carpets cleaned!

I guess I need to find a tub/tote or something that locks that's out of the kids reach for the crafts...

Sidney's just pleased as punch with herself

Kendall had it all over her too

I didn't even yell.............I just wanted to cry and I was just too exhausted............I wanted to just ignore it and go lay down, (I guess it didn't help that all I had to eat today was two bites of my granola bar and about 3/4 of my cup of coffee), but I needed to feed them and Sidney needed to take her quiet time in there..........so, I made the girls help me pick up the mess (after I picked up the paint)

I guess I should be thankful that they got at least a little of it on the paper......

Mother of Multiples Pool Party

Here's a couple of pictures from the Mother of Multiples pool party that my friend took. I thought that she got one of the two sets of twins, but they were on the move and didn't want to sit still.

Carter is laying in the water..........they were walking on their hands in the water all over the place. They love to do that in zero depth entry pools. Big sis, Sidney is coming to get in the water too.

They are being adventurous, and going out deeper

they pause for a moment to pose with Mommy.................Sidney is off playing with her friend and Daddy is supervising, talking to the other Dad.

I can't believe it

Sidney is still sleeping..........................usually she will wake up about 1am and 4am - which she did again last night, and then is up before 7am. She has dance class in like 10 minutes, but with how much she's been waking up at night, and with two major meltdowns yesterday..........I'm going to let her sleep! She really needs it. Plus, my niece isn't here yet. Hopefully we'll make her gymnastics class at 10:30am.

Have a great day everyone!

Pool Days with the Family

Everyone decided to come over a bit early for family dinner tonight and we decided to all go in our community pool. It's right by our house and with I don't know how many days over 100 degrees and no end in sight, cooling off in the water is always fun. I took LOTS of pictures and tried to narrow them down.................believe me, this is narrowed down!

The boys usually start off on the steps..........

Carter is venturing in a little bit deeper now.....

Cameron is getting pretty good at army crawling on the first step and keeping his head above water. They love going under the railings.

the boys did really well and didn't fight at all............it was the girls trying to get some attention and wanting their turns with the baby floaties

Sidney is saying, "Ok Daddy, now it's my turn!"

It was so cute...........Kendall thinks she is such a big girl and is playing with Carter here...

then she wants to hang on while big sister, Madeline, has her turn in the baby ring

Grandma and Papa got there and the kids were so excited to see them, they all went over the side and Grandma doesn't mind getting a little wet to play with the grandkids.

Carter wouldn't keep his hat on for even a second..... "Hi Mommy, this is fun!"
Ok, so he's making a liar out of me...............he kept it on for a few seconds here and there..........and boy does Mommy keep trying!

Cameron did well for awhile with his on. "Hi Grandma!"

Kendall and Sidney get their turns in the baby rings, even though they both have floaties on already

they decide that it's pretty darn fun to jump in the water while in the rings
"Whooooo, hoooo"

Uncle Roman to Maddie, (aka Daddy), is holding her high in the air and she is loving it.............Again, Again, Again! It's a good thing she kept wanting to do it, as it took me awhile to get one with Roman's arms straight and her at the top
Next Daddy jumps in with Sidney

Not the best picture.............but it's pretty funny.......the boys didn't want to stop playing even for a second. "No Mommy, we don't want our picture taken!" Cameron says "Ohhhh, the horror......"

Carter says "Hmmmmmm, how does this thing work?"

" Let's try it out, wait......come back and help me"

"I don't think this is quite right"

the kids, and the big kid too (Uncle Jason), are having fun splashing

Cameron is really getting brave these days and likes to jump in when holding someone's hand.............cousin Maddie is a little too eager to help though.....

the boys think that they can just go in anywhere they want. They simply turn around, get down on all fours and start crawling backwards. They can lower themselves about half-way down, then it's like "Uh-oh, what do I do now? Crawl out, or fall in?" Uncle Jason's got Cameron's back though. We all just watch which ever child is around, even if it's not our own.
