Visiting Daisy Again

I took the kids to visit the puppy again yesterday..............they were all out in the big yard, running all over with the few other families there visiting their puppies. Someone had given the gal taking care of all the dogs all these little doggie coats and things...........it was really cute. We put one on Daisy. The gal taking care of them took some pictures, as I didn't bring my camera, so when she e-mails them to me then I will post them on the blog. Here's one she sent me the other day..................just after her bath

Isn't she cute!

Playgroups in the Park

It's finally cooling down in the mornings and evenings, so we've been going to the park for playgroups lately.....................not many of us could make it this morning, but the boys still had fun and loved getting out of the house!

Cameron was climbing up on the big kid playground for a few minutes..............but it was WAY stressing Mommy out, so I drug him back to the one for the more little kids..................much better.................... now isn't this more fun?

Of course, the boys always love to swing too....................and I got them to keep their hats on for at least a little while!

Night Out with the Girls

Last night was Mommy's night out (MNO) and I went out with some friends and we got pedicures and had some dinner.........I went with a nice fall color...........usually I'm flower with bling type of girl...................but after some wine when the technician asked me if I wanted a design I said sure. She asked me if she could do anything? I said ok...................so she gave me some tiger stripes......

" Rrroaar!"
I do miss the bling a little................but something different is nice too. It was fun and Mommy REALLY needed it!!!!! We should do that more often!

Too Cute

Like I have said..................the kids love to dance around............especially half naked! The other night they kept pressing the button on the door/house at the end of the coffee table and they were all dancing around.............it was too cute!!!!! (Also notice Sidney pushing her brother down....unfortunately, she likes to do that quite a bit lately!)

My Little Sneaks

When the kids are hiding under something, like the table, it usually means that they are doing something they know there not supposed to be doing...............

Check out the evidence on their faces, especially Cameron's........................while I was cleaning up the playroom (I'm not sure why, since she was going to take a quiet time in there and would just mess it up again anyway. But I also wanted to try and vacuum in there while the boys were taking a nap), when I came out it was a bit too quiet.............................this is what I found.......the kids had found the bag of little Oreo cookies....................and ate the whole thing! I'm surprised that the boys even went down for a nap with all that sugar they just ingested! Maybe next time Daddy should put the bag up a little higher.............where the kids can't reach it!!

The Boys Wrestling

Carter has always liked to wrestle.....................he used to wrestle with Sidney, especially when she would climb into his crib.....................well, lately Cameron has been the one wanting to wrestle.....................especially in my closet while I'm trying to get dressed. He comes up behind Carter and pulls down on the back of his shirt and pushes him over and giggles while he lays on top of him..................it's pretty darn cute!

Some times Carter doesn't like it and he fusses........

Cameron is saying, "Hey, where are you going? Let's play!"

Some times Carter just lays there like nothings going on.

Halloween Parties

We went to a Halloween Party for the Mother of Multiples group this past weekend.............I took all five kids by myself............the girls weren't much of a problem (although trying to get them to eat anything but junk was quite a challenge)............................the boys on the other hand.........they were running around all over the place! And loved to run out the door............and I was wearing high heels. I brought the stroller in, but figured that they would be contained in the gymnasium...........................they had a good time though.............I guess that's what's important. They were running around too much though for me to get any pictures, but my friend got some...

I actually got them to sit still for a moment................Cameron is really loving his sucker............he got it all over Mommy's white pants too!

Here's Carter looking cute

the girls are in the middle in the back row.............watching the clown do some tricks

We were supposed to go to another Halloween party today with a group of friends that we haven't seen all summer............... but Roman wanted to work on over-seeding the lawn, and I got to sleep in. YEAH.........that's always nice!

More Dancing

It was sooooooo cute..............the other day.............actually a couple of days this past week, the kids were watching the video that I took when we went to the "So You Think You Can Dance" show. Carter actually grabbed Sidney's hand to dance around with her.

I wish I could have recorded it, but the camcorder was plugged into the TV

Of course, Carter has to suck on his fingers while he's doing it.

notice how intently they are watching it? This is the video that Sidney likes, that I think is kind of weird.

now she's trying to dance along with them..............it's so cute!

The Zoo with Daddy

Roman had to work this past Saturday so he decided to take Friday off to spend some time with the family....................and since it's been under 90 here and there, we decided to get out and do something with the kids.............We took them to the Zoo.

they loved getting out of the house.........and we actually let the boys out of the stroller quite a bit this time.

Sidney and I climbed the stairs to get a closer look at the giraffes.

Roman and the boys stayed down below to check out the other animals too

these two baby zebras were nuzzling each other.................it was so cute

The kids favorite part of the day?............................the new splash pad! Our friend had told us about it, so we came prepared with their suits and towels.

Whoa..............this is a little more water than Cameron bargained for. He was running around all over the place!!!!!

Carter wasn't too daring today and just stayed along the outside in the shallow waters

Their next favorite part?........................
the ducks! They love quacking and chasing them

I was surprised at how tame they were................they were eating the bread right out of my hand

Visiting Daisy

Roman was supposed to take Sidney to go see the puppy last weekend, but he didn't.......it's been a busy couple of weeks, and was NOT happy!!!!! So we arranged to go see her this past week. Sidney was loving it, but Kendall and the boys were a bit overwhelmed with all of the puppies jumping up on the, scratching their legs and chewing on their shoes. So we let them out to play in the huge yard there. Sidney and I didn't want to go.............I just wanted to take them all home and have been trying to convince Roman that we should get two dogs, instead of just one, so they could play with each other when we're not around......................he's not buying into that idea and I think all of these puppies have been adopted now........................we'll have to check, as there was one left that someone was coming to see this weekend.

Sidney just loves picking her up.................but forgets to support her back side......

they were all sooooooooo cute playing and wrestling with each other

Rarrrrrrrrrh

one puppy actually got ahold of Carter's shorts and was pulling on them

Cameron is going "Help me Mommy!"

there was another family visiting there too that's adopting two of the puppies

The plan is still to get to take her home around Thanksgiving.

Day at the Park

This week for the baby playgroup we went to the park because it's been cooler in the morning.....Sidney sees the pictures and asks, "Where was I"
I keep telling her that she was at school, but today she said, "No I wasn't......I didn't go to school that day."
Anyway, just a couple pictures of the boys.........

they were REALLY excited about the little bag of M&M's Mommy brought!

Cameron was on the other side of this pillar, playing peek-a-boo with me..............it was so cute!

Baseball with Daddy

This week Roman's game was early again.........so we went to watch..................Uncle Jason was playing too, so I was keeping an eye on their girls too.

Roman's taking a break in-between innings with Carter

Carter's going to be our baseball player.....

he picked up the bat and knew just what to do after only seeing Daddy play once

He's concentrating on the game here.....

then it was time to take a break and all the kids were playing on these

Carter actually went back a couple times for Mommy to get a good shot.

you can't keep Cameron still..................Daddy says he's going to be our soccer player

I actually got them contained for a minute..............and bribed them with snacks........Mommy was getting a real workout chasing them around!

When the girls took a break from running around they decided that playing in the dirt would be A LOT of fun.............................we wanted to try and skip the bath that night, as it was late by the time the games were over, but they were all just too dirty to skip it.....................so it was another late night for the kiddos................and for Mommy!

Our Scary Evening

The other day I actually made dinner, from scratch.......not just throwing something frozen in the oven......................well, when I went to turn the timer off and take it out of the oven the screen went blank for a moment, then said PF cool...................I thought it had a power failure............then after a few minutes we realized that it wasn't cooling off..................in fact, it was getting hotter and hotter................we have a little thermometer that hangs inside the oven as it's gas and takes forever to heat up..............it's not at the temp you want it be at after the preheat is finished..........the gauge was all the way past 500 degrees, down to the bottom of gauge..........we tried hitting all the buttons to turn it off and quickly realized that we needed to do something........and fast. I was asking Roman how we turn the gas off, but he wasn't really answering me. I was thinking, We don't have any time to waste. Let's get the kids out of the house....................and while I'm thinking this, I'm also thinking.........................great, and Roman's standing there right in front of the oven and he hasn't upped his life insurance yet, even though I've been bugging him for MONTHS to do that. It's not like I'm trying to get rid of him ............but I think I have more life insurance that he does and he's the primary provider for the family. .............................I keep telling him that nobody plans to get in a car accident on their way home from work....................or to get blown up in their own house...............but things happen and I want to make sure that the kids will be taken care of!
Anyway, I'm not waiting around for him to think of a way to solve this problem.................I march right across the street with the kids to our neighbors house, who knows how to do anything, and ask him, "how do we turn the gas off?" He goes and gets some tools and comes back over to our house just as Roman has flipped the switch and reset the oven......................Whewwwwww! Crisis averted........................it was kind of scary there for a few minutes..............Roman said it was like 800 degrees or something in the oven if you go by where the needle was and compare it to the other increments. Let's hope that doesn't happen again.....................ever!

Dinner at Aunties

This week for Sunday family dinner we had an extra guest.......................Sidney's friend, Ryan. He spent the night at our house since we missed a play date a couple of weeks back and his parents were going to a concert...............................the girls were having a blast with a new playmate!
fireside chats..........................minus the fire..........it was still hot enough outside to feel like there was a fire in the pit.

Here's Cameron........................the kids couldn't decide where to play, they were in and out and in and out......

the guys were outside talking, so Carter decided to join them

they love going down this slide......................maybe one day we will get something like this

I kept thinking that my Mom was missing..................we kept asking "Where's Grandma?".............she's in the bedroom watching the Hannah Montana concert on DVD that Auntie got for Madeline (her new biggest fan. Sidney was even singing one of the songs the other day.)

Everyone was getting into it

Papa was playing with boys, rolling around on the floor....

I wasn't sure if Cameron was actually playing here, or if he was getting tired.....

time to climb on Papa

and get a horsey ride.....................I was trying to get the boys to hold onto to Papa's shirt so they wouldn't fall off, but they weren't really getting it...........so Papa just went slowly and was careful

Uh-oh........................Carter fell off the sit-and-spin....................but he's ok

now he's on to other things....................pushing a car.....................he doesn't care if it's pink, it's a car!

now it's tickle time!

Meanwhile, Ryan and the girls are pretending that they are cats and dogs and crawling between the girls room and the playroom

they were pretty fast.....................and with the annoying delay on the camera, I couldn't get a good shot of them.

Madeline and Kendall had such a fun time playing with Ryan, they followed us all the way out to the car and were yelling "Ryan, look at this." "Ryan, Ryan, Ryan" the whole time we were buckling them in the car. He told me as we were getting ready to leave............"At first I didn't want to come over here, but it ended up being pretty fun!"

And guess what?.....................................Sidney slept in her room all night and didn't come out once! They were even pretty quiet in the morning..................when I woke up just after 7am they were playing quietly in the playroom. They were both saying they wanted to do that again real soon.
