The boys swim lessons

I recently signed all three kids up for swim lessons.............Sidney had been asking for quite awhile to start again and I really wanted to get the boys some more experience, as during the summer we are in the pool A LOT and it's very stressful keeping an eye on all three of them. Not that that means we can not worry about any of them, it just makes me feel a little better knowing that they have had some kind of training on doing the back float and getting in and out of the side of the pool......

the kids all love the water and can't wait to get in...........until they realize that Mommy isn't coming in with them......

At first the boys weren't so sure...........even though they love taking a bath and they put their face in the water all the time............the first day they were both screaming......kind of setting each other off, so they split them up........Carter did really well after that......Cameron, on the other hand, screamed for the next four days! They started on a Monday and when we got there on Thursday he actually put his hand over his carseat strap so that I couldn't unbuckle him and said "No".......he actually stopped crying half-way through that lesson and from then on they both just ran right in. They had lessons every morning for two weeks, and Sidney has weekly lessons that are on going.

Carter is swimming here, while Cameron looks on.............ok, so he's a bit distracted......trying to find something to play with.......the second week he kept running off and the instructor had to keep climbing out of the pool to go get him! But they both did great going under the water.

Carter seems to feel so comfortable in the water and floats by himself for a few seconds..........Cameron is not quite so sure about doing the back float

Golfing with Daddy

Last weekend we went for a walk to the field with the kids and Daisy........Sidney had gotten a scrape (and was sunburnt, which I didn't know, so she was really hurting), so I took her and Daisy back home........but Roman got to spend some time playing with Carter......

we don't really see that many lizards, but there were two on our fence this day....the kids were just staring at them, waiting for them to move

the boys see big sister Sidney throw stuff in the pool, so of course they have to do it too..........although they are usually trying to fish stuff out of the pool......and occasionally fall in it. Carter did that and was NOT happy.............that water is cold!!!

Gymnastics Class

All three kids have a gymnastics class....the boys class is "Beginning Movement" and is more just an opened gym time, then Sidney's class is right after that.......they all three kind of participate in both classes........the teacher doesn't mind as long as they are listening and not disrupting things.

Sidney was doing back-walkovers over this foam support...........that's the first time she's done that and she did a great job and was fearless!

The kids have so much fun in this class......it's nice that the boys can enjoy some of these classes now too that Sidney got to take last year as well.

Sidney and Friends at the Park II

We got in another afternoon at the park while the D family was still in town (the boys were asleep at home with Babcia).........I didn't get as many good shots this time......the kids were all over the place!

It was so cute, when it was time to go the girls were holding hands.......we went and got frozen yogurt after this and the girls sat at their own table...........and even tried each other's flavors.....BFFs already!

Oh, had to stop by and pet the puppy on the way to the car............Sidney wants to pet each and EVERY dog that she sees..............of course she wants ME to ask if it's alright though.......

Grandma's Pool

Last week Sunday dinner was at my Mom's house....they drained to pool to resurface it.....and the kids had almost as much fun playing in it as when it's full of water (although Mommy was quite nervous that someone would fall off the edge and get really hurt)...

Trip to the Lake

When Roman took the kids to Lake Havasu a couple of weeks ago I put the camera in the bag and told him to take some pictures.......well, here's what I got..............not exactly what I had in mind.......

The Grass Field......Sidney's Perspective

It's been so nice lately, we've been going down the big grassy area at the end of our development a lot. Lately Sidney has been wanting to take the camera herself............here are a few shots she did by herself...............

I know, I know..............such a shame.............such long eyelashes on a boy! All three kids have/had long eyelashes as babies/toddlers..............Sidney has grown into hers...........I got comments on hers all the time when she was younger and now everyone comments on the boys as well.

I always get a kick out them running around........especially the boys......it's just sooooo cute!!

Sidney LOVES to get into things.............and loves to draw, put make up on........any type of coloring of herself really.

As soon as I walked into the play room I could smell the lip gloss.....of course, Sidney was hiding it, as she knew that I would take it away (because she just keeps putting it on and it gets everywhere........she doesn't know when to stop.) I thought it was too cute......look AROUND Sidney and Kendall's lips! Of course they must have the dress up and the play jewelry to go with it............although, lately Sidney has been getting into my jewelry....not so good, because she doesn't take care of it and just drops it where ever when she is done.......things get lost.......or broken. Lately she's been asking about the green eye shadow again quite a lot.........and she has figured out how to get my makeup case opened...........always keeping me on my toes!!!

The Zoo Outing

While the D family was here we did a trip to the zoo...........it's a good thing, as it's supposed to be almost 90 this week?!

Daddy's Softball Game

Roman's softball league through work has started again........when he has an early game then I usually take the kids. His Mom actually got to go see one of his games too..............she probably got to see a lot more of the game than I did....................the kids were on the move!

I'm not sure if she was being shy and didn't want her picture taken, or if she was just missing her Daddy

Sidney and her Friends

It's getting very difficult these days for everyone from Sidney's playgroup to get together.........now, with the kids in preschool and lots of other activities, trying to find a time when we can all meet is proving quite the challenge................but our friends, the D Family, were in town for a short time, so we all wanted to see them!

we were commenting on the last time we had the kids pictures taken together.........they were so little....... we can't believe how big they've gotten.......and now there are siblings to add in too (and cousins - I had my niece Kendall that day)

the Moms..................we were each other's saviours when our kids were little..............it's hard for us to find even the much needed MNO time anymore...............we really need to work on that....Miss you Ladies!
