My Poor Kiddo

Well, we have our first broken bone..........I can't hardly believe it........ we had just gotten home from the store and I was unloading the car.......Sidney rode her bike to the playground right by our house......it was kind of chaotic....the boys wanted to ride their plasma cars, but they didn't have their junky shoes on (the plasma cars DESTROY their shoes......the inside toe is completely gone, so I try to reserve just one pair of shoes to get trashed).....I was trying to unload the car, wrangle the boys inside to change their shoes amongst the screaming and fit throwing when Sidney came crying back to the house.........crying harder than usual, and for longer than usual. I finally got them all inside and she sat in her little chair kind of leaning to the side with her arm resting on her side......she wouldn't move it, or let me touch it or even look at it. I gave her an ice pack and some Motrin and watched her for awhile.......I just had a feeling that it needed to be looked at.........Roman got home soon after and I had him try and talk to her and get her to move it.....I asked her several times if I should take her to the Dr and she kept adamantly saying "NO"......but I wasn't ok without getting it checked out...............it's a good thing I trusted my instincts.........my stomach was just turning and I was trembling......wanting to cry until someone would tell me she was ok..................I thought after she moved it more at the Dr's and they took the x-rays that maybe I was wrong......and she was ok...............I was surprised when the Dr. said it was broken. They couldn't really see the break on the x-rays, but could tell it was broken because the bones were misaligned. She has kind of a half-cast with an ace bandage now and a sling.......I have to call the pediatric orthopedist tomorrow........so, no gymnastics or cheer for awhile, but she will be going to school tomorrow......it's the art fair and I'm in her class (and she's staying for lunch.........AND Grandma is picking her up! She hasn't in awhile and Sidney's really been asking a lot lately........cuz Grandma = ICE CREAM!!!!)

If she's not moving it she's doing pretty good, it's just when I try to put the blanket underneath it to support it and keep it at a 90 degree angle that bothers her.......I'm guessing I should be going to bed now, I have a feeling it's not going to be a very restful night.

Easter at Grandma and Papa's

We celebrated Easter at my Mom's again this year........the kids had so much fun.......and got spoiled by Grandma and Papa : )

Almost as soon as we got there Grandma started handing out toys and goodies.

Then it was time for the egg hunt.......Uncle Jason is getting all the kids pumped up for it.

let the fun begin!

Roman is helping the boys find their eggs.

Carter found one! (with a little help from Mommy)

Cameron is like Carter at the church egg hunt......he's only found a few, but he's more interested in what's INSIDE the eggs.....CANDY!!
We actually got them all to sit still for a second : )
Of course we have to get a family pic in, I can't believe how big they are all getting.
Grandma gave the kids little dart gun things......they shoot with rubber bands. My kids don't have anything that even resembles a gun, yet they knew just how to use them.

pa-que (it's hard to write out the sound I have in my head.....but you get the idea.)

the boys were having SO much fun running around.

Sidney says "Ok, ok.....I'll smile......now can I go play?!"

Sidney took this picture of my Mom and me......she loves taking pictures almost as much as I do.

Kids Easter Celebration at Our Church

Our church, which is where Sidney goes to preschool, had a celebration for the kids......and we actually went this year. I'm so glad we did......it was a beautiful day and the kids had such a great time!

They always LOVE bouncing!

More egg coloring.....it took Cameron a little bit to figure out how to pick up the eggs with the tongs.....I think he ended up just using his fingers.

The egg hunt for the smaller kids was on the grass, with the eggs out in the open.

Carter wasn't wasting any time is finding out what was INSIDE the eggs.......while Cameron actually found more than his limit......it's a good thing they all ended up sharing the candy.
Carter says "YUM! Candy!!"

Sidney and her good friend D from school......she was also in Sidney's class last year and sometimes she sees her in Sunday School.

The boys always love wrestling each other......Cameron is in the yellow, Carter is in the red.

At the end the kids all got to hold a balloon and send it up to God......the kids all love balloons....

....after they let them go Carter says "Now go get it Mommy! I want my balloon."....he was sooooo bummed that we couldn't get it back.

Easter Gingerbread House

Boy......there just aren't enough hours in the day.......I always think about how I WANT to work on the blog.......but there are just SOOOOOOO many things I NEED to do at home........anyway, here are some more recent Easter pictures.

Decorating the Easter house.......it's not as pretty as the Halloween house....but the kids had fun....that's the important part. : )

and of course.....the best part for the kids is eating all the candy......even the ones that fell on the floor!

We finally got to dye eggs....Sidney had been asking for quite awhile.

Cameron's got his first egg going

They all did pretty well with being patient and letting the egg sit in the dye for a little bit.....and again had fun.......then were off to play out in the sunshine with green fingers : )

GGGRRRRRRR!!!

I was doing some stuff on my computer today and it asked me if I wanted to change something as my main program......not sure exactly what I did, but now when I open up a picture I don't have any options and can't scroll through them on to the next or previous one........I have to open and close each one individually....which makes deciding between pics A LOT more difficult! Gotta figure out how to change it back. My sis is watching the kids on Thursday, so I have a couple of errands to do......then the game plan is to work on my pics! So hopefully I'll get it figured out : )

Easter Celebration in Sidney's Class

This year I tried to pick days to be in Sidney's class when they were doing special things......things I didn't get to see last year. The most recent time was their Easter Celebration...So much fun coloring eggs, playing and going on an egg hunt.

Coloring eggs

here they all come

"I found one!"

ok,now that all the ones on the grass have been pretty much found, the hunt gets a little more difficult.

Sidney, counting her eggs.......as each child was allowed to find 6, plus a large gold one from the teachers.

Lack of Posts

Sorry for the lack of posts lately..............it's not because I haven't thought about it......we've just been......well, busy....for lack of a better excuse.
I have been working on editing my pictures, to get them ready to go....(those that know me well, know I'm a little bit addicted to using my computer program to edit my pics.....changing the lighting if it's too bright or too dark, cropping, eliminating red eye, etc.) I had just uploaded another 200+ pictures......and I STILL need to go through the like 150+ pics from the kids birthday party! For those of you on Facebook, I have thrown some pics up there......but when I do the blog I have to be more selective.....and I like to think more about what I write about the pics.....and go through the video too (which I haven't uploaded in quite awhile either.)
Plus, going along with being busy.....I just can't keep up with everything.......the dishes and the laundry are more than full time jobs in themselves! You would think with us being on the go so much that the house would stay a bit neater (if that's a word?)......but it doesn't......that's just less time I have to pick it up..........and it seems so late by the time we actually get the kids in bed with the lights out that I am so exhausted I've just been going to bed (or more like falling asleep with them)........and they've been up quite a bit lately. Sidney was doing really well for a couple of weeks there, staying in her room all night, but we're back to her getting up almost every night again......and now the boys are wanting us to lay down with them more. Today Sidney got up at 5:30am! She's supposed to stay in her room until the first number on her clock is a 7, but rather than fight with her I just tried to pull her into bed with me, as Roman was already gone at work, but she was petting the cat and chatting....not letting Mommy get any rest either.
I only have one more post for our trip to Chicago I think, but I have 450 pictures (that's after weeding out the bad ones) in folder to be blogged! I have started the ones from Easter, to try and be more up to date, and hate to leave anything out, but I'll have to really be choosy to get caught up (and look at the video too).......but, it's late again......and since we gave the dentist Cameron's paci today I'm betting he's not going to sleep all night.........he's asked for it too many times for me to count and fussed a little at bed time, but ended up falling asleep with a cool, wet washcloth instead. (It helped that he ran around at Grandma's all afternoon and that it was late, yet again). I'll keep plugging away : )

YEAH! My big boy, Cameron!! (Now......to get Carter to stop sucking those fingers!)
