The boys are advancing by leaps and bounds these days......saying more and really looking less and less like babies and more and more like little boys.......
The other day Sidney was playing with one of those wire toys with beads on them......well, it was a large one, all three of them were playing with it..........and she was counting them...............she got to seven and paused for a moment and Carter said "Eight" I was shocked! I said "WOW! Good job Carter!!!! Yes, Eight!!!!"
Of course Sidney was upset, because SHE was counting...........I was trying to be sympathetic to her, but SO proud of Carter! Both boys like to count the steps in the morning when we are going down them.........then just last night I was playing with Cameron with a magnetic doodle board, that has a pen and shapes (we were at my sister's house, but we have one just like it) and he knew exactly where the little drawer was and pulled it out to get the shapes out.......I couldn't really tell what he was saying at first...........but then he said "Circle" and I think he said "triangle" too. YEAH Cameron!!!! I said "Yes, you're right...........that's a circle! And that's a triangle.".....he might of even said "Square" too, I just missed it, because he said something when he pulled that one out first. I know that Sidney already knew these things by this age..........but they are boys.......and were preemies...........and I know each child is different, so I'm trying not to compare them..............I just thought it was pretty exciting! The boys are loving to read now too.......sometimes it's still hard to get them to sit still during the story before bed, but they LOVE these books I got for Sidney.....it's a set..........each one focuses on 2-3 letters and uses words with pictures.............it's an "I Spy" book...............a look and find book.........Roman will just keep picking things out of the pictures for the kids to find...............and they will wait their turn and find what he asks them to....................most of the time the boys can find it! They've even been taking the books with them in the car when we go out and want to take them to bed. Carter says "E,F,G.....E, F, G" all the time now.........and will try to sing along when Sidney sings the alphabet.
Carter has started this new thing too, where he says "Come get me", although it doesn't exactly come out that clear.........but I know what he is saying............that means he wants you to chase him........Cameron started saying it last night too!
Sidney is also growing very fast.....................and her attitude, even faster!!!! She is very strong minded (gee............with two parents as Aries...........I wonder where she gets that from?) The car seat has become a daily struggle.............she wants it so tight she can hardly breathe........and if it's not just perfect will let you know......................again.........and again.........and again...........and again!
She is getting more into dancing around the house too............her and her cousins just LOVE Hannah Montana (the boys even fussed when I turned it to something else in the car the other day.................and when we were at the grocery store they saw balloons of her and Carter said "Nannah")........they were putting on a concert for the Dad's last night...........it was too cute! I didn't get any video of it though, our video camera was dead. Sidney also loves to sing to her brothers...............quite a bit lately she will follow me into their room while I am putting them in their cribs and sit in their glider and sing them a song........in the dark.............it's sweet, but I'm always worried she's going to get them amped up.............and stall in getting to bed herself!
I am having my hard drive backed up...........and hope to get my computer tomorrow and take it over to get it fixed...............they say to call if I don't have it back within 10 days.................I am hoping and praying to have back by the time we go on our trip. I don't know what I'll do if I don't have it to take with me! So much for getting caught up on the blog..........now I'm going to be WAY behind again..................and we'll be busy, busy once we get up to WA to play in the much cooler sunshine! Can't wait........especially since it's supposed to be 110+ degrees here all this week!

Happy Father's Day
Sorry this is a little late............
I hope you all had a nice Father's Day.........ours started off very busy........
Sidney has been doing better lately, and slept in her room all night...........she's almost always up before 7 am though...............I think it was about 6:30-6:46 when she woke up.........She and I took the cat in to the vet for her annual exam right about the time the boys were waking up and I woke Roman up............then Sidney wanted to go look at the fishies.............on the way across the store she saw a cage and asked "What's this for Mommy?"
"It's for a bird."
"Can we get a bird?!"
"No honey, not now............maybe when you get older."
"Awe Mom!"
"We have enough animals right now.......we have a dog and a cat.......animals are a lot of work to take care of."
"No they're not!" (Yeah, that's because I can't even get her to help feed the dog!) Sidney just thinks she's her own personal lap dog...................litterally.............Sidney lays on top of her....."hugs" her all the time (aka : chokes her) around the neck, just comes up and gives her a smack, but says she wasn't hitting the dog....etc...........
So, then we make if over to the fish..........................."I want a fish! Can we get a fish Mom? PLEEEEEEEEEASE!"
"No, honey. Fish are a lot of work to take care of too and you need a lot of supplies for them, especially in the beginning."
"No you don't! Can't we just take one home.......PLEEEEEEASE!!!!".....and the asking kept on and on and on.................I finally get her out to the car and am just about to strap her in when she says she has to go to the bathroom...................Ugh........couldn't you have said that BEFORE we left the store? I think..........so we head back into the store and pass some kitties waiting to be adopted......."Come on..............we'll look at them after you go potty." So, as promised, on our way out we stop to look at the kitties behind the glass..................."Can we get a kitty Mommy?"
"No, honey............we already have a kitty."
"I don't like that cat! Can't we give her back and get a new one?".....Missy is not fond of the kids.....and HATES the dog........so she hides most of the time........Sidney wants to hold her and carry her and pet her...........and walk her around on a leash too................she just doesn't get that cats are not like dogs...........(that's Sidney's new thing.............because she wants EVERYTHING I've been asking her if she has the money to pay for things...............so she'll ask if she can take something back and exchange it for something else...............she doesn't get that it must be a new item that you are taking back to exchange............not a toy that she's had for over a year......and that living things you don't just take back.......
So, we finally make it home and Roman says that we should take the kids and the dog down to the large grassy area in our neighborhood and kick around the kids' new soccer balls that they got the day before for their class (the boys have a new ball class ..........Sidney actually skipped her ballet & tap class to go do their ball class)........Well, Sidney threw a MAJOR fit because she did not want to put socks and tennis shoes on................she wanted to go run and kick a ball in flip-flops.....so Roman and the boys left without her and I stayed home with her...........I pulled out the next size tennis shoes (from her cousin) and like 4 pairs of socks to chose from.....but she hates socks and any shoe that comes up over the top of her foot.................so I start to walk upstairs to do something and after a few more struggles.................she at least agrees to put on some closed shoes.......although, no socks........and they're not tennis shoes...............so we finally make it down to the grass............and all the kids want to do is sit in the shade by Daisy and give her some more water.......................it was already 90 degrees out at 10:00am......so we decide to head home, change into our suits and hit the pool! The kids were LOVING it!!!! All three of them kept getting out and jumping back in.................Carter is now calling me "Mi-Ma".........the boys were both very anxious, but were good about waiting their turn to be caught...........luckily, they are not as much of dare devils as Sidney...............who would just jump right in.........whether there was someone there to catch her or not! We were out there for over an hour.............we finally went home (luckily it's on our cul de sac) and fed the kids and got the boys down for a nap........Sidney and I made a cake, as it was my Step-Dad's b'day this past week as well..........then Roman took her over to my sister's early to play with her cousins and picked up the cat from her appt..............Then, after the boys woke up we went over to my sister's f0r more playing and Family Sunday dinner. We got home late..............it was after 9:00pm by the time the kids got in bed (and that's with just a quick rub down with a wet washcloth)...........we were so exhausted that we went to bed pretty much right after that too!

A VERY Early Morning
For some unknown reason I woke up at 3:45 AM this morning......before Roman's alarm clock had even gone off......well, it did just 15 minutes later.....and again.....and again......I was even still awake after the third time it had gone off......when he turned it off and didn't get up....he ended up getting up just a few minutes later.......and even though he mostly gets ready downstairs, and tries to be quiet.....I could still hear him...........I kept thinking I heard Sidney making her way to our room too......so I kept sitting up to look for her.....I may have fallen back to sleep for a few minutes here and there.....but then I heard him leave around 5 AM.....then just before 5:30 AM.....when I had literally just fallen back to sleep......here comes Sidney........It was already light out, but I can usually get her to go back to sleep after a little while when I tell her that it's WAY too early to get up! Well, she had these little papers that came with a doll in a locket she recently got and she was spreading them out all over the place......and wanted me to read the names of each of them.......I was like "Ok, I am awake now!" But I wanted her to still try and rest......so I offered to go get her some milk and juice.......and of course she wanted to come with me....and we got her letter factory video.........back upstairs.........I got the towels that I had washed the day before to fold........but I was getting tired......I tried to lay my head down to rest, but Sidney still wanted me to tell her the dolls names......and was complaining that it wasn't loud enough......I think I had literally JUST fallen asleep when they were on like W or Y.......then she wanted to play the game.......she can move the cursor with the remote, but sometimes needs help identifying which letter to move it too.........she must have restarted the video herself.....because the next thing I know it's on again.........but it was loud (at least if you're trying to sleep).......and she likes to move around and talk to me and wanted to get into my makeup.........I kept telling her "just let Mommy rest for a little bit honey, it's too early to be getting into all that" (and heck, these days I rarely even get the chance to put makeup on....)
We eventually got moving and I got the boys up and was trying to get Sidney to write/draw in her Grandpa's card so I could get them mailed.........it took FOREVER to get out the door.......then the dog wanted to come......she ran out the door and jumped in the car before I even had a chance to grab her.......I was just going to go to the post office and back.......so she wouldn't be in a hot car too long........then after much running around by the kids at the post office and getting told not to play with the blinds......and not to climb on the racks that hold the boxes and envelopes and not to run around, to stay by Mommy........Carter actually bit me on my hip! We've had problems with him biting lately.......he's bit Roman, Sidney, Cameron, my Mom......and I'm not sure if he bit himself last week, or if Cameron did it.......I couldn't get a straight answer from them........well, today I finally got it! So, I thought that was going to be our excitement for the day and that I could get back home and try to work on the house some more.....as I still haven't caught up from being gone this weekend......but Sidney says "We're not just going home, are we?"............So after a quick trip to the bank......and a not so quick trip to get something to eat..... Sidney had to go to the bathroom......even though she swore she didn't the many times I asked her before we left the house....(meanwhile, the poor dog is roasting out in the car) we finally make it to the park.........all the while Sidney whining about how her car seat is not tight enough, or too tight, or how she wants out and doesn't like her seat.......plus she sticks her belly out (and didn't like the shoulder covers......which I can't find anymore to put back on........) and that scratches or leaves marks on her neck....we dropped the dog off at home and headed to the park.........by the time we left, both of the boys cheeks were so red and Carter really looked wiped out.........I said "naps for everyone when we get home".........of course, Sidney objected..........but after laying the boys down I made her lay down with me in her room for 10 minutes........I told her if she didn't fall asleep, then she could get up and take a quiet time.......well, on the third fishy.........just after 10 minutes (I made her stay a little longer as she kept getting up and wasn't really resting, she fell asleep)...........now let's hope she'll go to bed tonight!......Guess I should try to get something done.......I think I already hear one of the boys stirring.......

Updates......
So many things to tell you about.......Let's see......we'll start off with a good thing.....
This weekend my sister and I got to go away for a couple of days........some Mommy time to regroup and refresh before I spend three weeks alone with the kids in WA. We just went up to Scottsdale, as they have great rates here in the summer......it even included an allowance for food and beverages each day! So we scrapbooked (I finally got my special project completed.....just in time!), actually slept all night, got to wake up on our own, actually got to sit for an entire WARM meal......we even got a massage!.......we ran out of time to get a pedicure though..........
Which leads me to some very bad news...................we got a call just after our massage on Saturday that our Mom was in the hospital.........again........she was working out in the hot garage all day on Friday and wasn't feeling very well.........she thought it would get better after some rest, but it didn't.....so in the middle of the night she went to the hospital.........they say didn't have another heart attack (she had just a few weeks after the boys were born......the same day we lost Susan to cancer).......that she "over stressed" her heart.......she knew that she was going to need another stent at some point, but didn't follow up........well, the main artery that supplies the left side of her heart was 95% occluded! She had the stent put in......and time will tell if she will change her ways and get more active and STOP SMOKING!!!!!!
A lesser thing on the grand scale of things................but VERY important to me.......is that my computer is down again.........I'm not sure if it's dead, dead........or if it's something that can be fixed.....I thought maybe it had just overheated.......but when you turn it on the light comes on like it's on, but then.......nothing.................no screen, it doesn't sound like it's trying to boot up.......it kind of sounds like what they were explaining to me about a mother board after the last fix...............I am sooooooooooooo hoping that they can fix it................it's really not in the budget to get another computer..........and of course, I was just going to back up Quicken and all my videos this weekend. Plus, Roman accidentally erased his password for his wireless internet and doesn't remember what it is.......so we have to plug it in upstairs.......so I won't be on the computer much....... : ( (I'VE GOT TO GET IT FIXED BEFORE OUR TRIP!!!!!!!)
So, until we get things resolved I won't be able to post any pics or video : ( : (
Upon returning home..................there are mounds of laundry to do......two beds that got peed in (my nieces were here this weekend too).........and although Roman tried to clean the play room - it's usually a DISASTER after the girls get to it.......I spent over an hour last night picking up toys, dishes, and rearranging things in the playroom............today........laundry........ALL DAY! I finally got the last batch folded, but not put away yet.............sometimes I wonder if it's even worth going away................while it's good for the soul............it just makes me that much farter behind on the house!

More Fun with water
The kids love the water........Daisy is getting into too........she'll bite at the water from the hose and jump in and out of the pool....which I think already has a small leak.....and summer has only begun!

Girls Night Out
A few weeks ago I got to go out two nights in a row.............one night for my Mother of Mulitples club (I'm on a commitee this year) and the next night with the MOMS club.......here are the lovely ladies I got to spend some time with........

Ok, I know that this is gross................only a Mom could get a kick out this one..........Carter is laying on the floor..............Cameron is sitting on the potty......check out his diaper.........I know.....gross, huh?.......at least he's sitting on the potty.........the even funnier part is ........is that he's totally oblivious...........oh to be a worry free kid again!

Sidney's Pom and Cheer Class
Sidney is taking a pom and cheer class.....
the parents got to stay and watch this one......it's on a Saturday too, so there were a lot of people there...........so Sidney was kind of intimidated.....
Swim Safety Class
The place where Sidney takes swim lessons had a safety day where they go in their clothes and have a safety lesson and they get to get into the water with their clothes on
the boys were more interested in the kick boards they were sitting on than the story the teacher was reading........I eventually had to go sit with them and have them sit on my lap so that they would pay attention.

The Park After the Fire Tour
The fire station tour wasn't very long...............so we decided to go to a near by park afterwards.......
I haven't been using the stroller as much lately.......it's so big and takes extra time to get it out and put it back in the car.......but that means that the boys can take off.....

Fire Station Tour
A little while ago we went on a tour of a fire station with the mother of Multiples group.....of course I got there a few minutes late (big surprise : ).......I had my niece with me too......we first went to the front door (as when we had a tour before they gave us a chat and we got to see the inside of the station too)....but it was locked.......you actually needed a swipable card to get in.......so I went around to the back, where there was another parking lot...I thought maybe that was the main entrance........there wasn't anyone around back there either, and it was locked too.......there was another door back there that looked like an entrance too.......no luck there either.....I was thinking What the heck?.......so we went all the way around the front again (meanwhile.....waiting for four poky kids to catch up).........they had the garage door opened and the kids were in there...............checking out the fire truck.....
there's a set of triplets here too..............Carter and Cameron are the only identicals in this group (Sidney wasn't interested in sitting on the truck......she was walking around trying to figure out how to get IN the truck)
we were the last group of kids in the truck.......so they got to hang out and explore for awhile
Carter sat here for a long time.................he liked the back seat
Sidney is thinking "Look at all these buttons................I bet it would be fun to press them all!"
