The Nutcracker

I took Sidney to go see the Nutcracker with my friend Felicia. She has three different Nutcracker movies and LOVES to go see "Talent Shows". She was excited to go, but was having a very hard afternoon.......first she didn't want her dress on......then she didn't want tights, but she doesn't like the seem on socks either. I almost left without her. I put her in the car barefoot, as she didn't like her new shoes either, (this child would wear flip flops all the time if I let her), and when we finally got there (it was down town Phoenix and we had to drive around like 3 times to find the entrance to the parking garage), I told her that was all I had and she didn't have a choice but to wear them! Of course I ended up carrying her most of the way, but by the time it was over she was ok walking around in them.

before we left, she had to put Mommy's shoes on........she likes those much better.

Daisy now weighs 21+ pounds, but Sidney can pick her up no problem.....she can even pick up her older cousin, who out-weighs her and is taller than her. Just call her She-ra

we went and had dinner after the show.......it felt soooooo late, but it was only about 7:00pm.

Sidney was dancing around and wanted to dance with another little girl, but the other girl was too shy.

I didn't read my friends whole e-mail, and didn't notice that she said that she was taking us to the show as a gift. Thank you Felicia, we really had a good time........Sidney was talking almost the whole time....."when are we going to see Clara?" "Where's the mouse king?" "When are we going to see the mouse king again with the big butt?"

The costumes for the mice were very large and stuffed and the actors did great with their motions.......the king had an extra-large/long back side.......Sidney really got a kick out it!

These are from last week as well........the girls usually play pretty well together (aka = not as much fighting), when there is just two of them, instead of all three of them........here's a couple of pics of them playing nicely.

I took the kids for a short walk earlier this week to the mail box, around the "little loop" as Sidney calls it....and then we went to play at the little playground in our cul de sac.

I just had to laugh........for some reason Cameron ran into the bushes and did a face plant.......luckily, he didn't really get hurt.

Daisy has found her spot...........on the boys little couch. She loves to lay on it and chew on her bones.

she's not even interested in eating the books.......tonight at least.......she's got a new bone to chew on!

she even managed to get on it when I had the chairs pulled away from the wall, facing each other, so that I could vacuum there.

it's always so funny to see her laying on there......the boys don't seem to mind either

Merry Christmas Daddy!

Santa came a little early this year for Mommy and Daddy.........Roman got a nice bonus, so he FINALLY got the big screen TV that he's been wanting.

Carter says "Yeah, football in High Def! You can even see their faces!"

I had forgotten that the old TV was REALLY heavy!!!!!!! I thought that we would put it in our room and put that one in the play room.........but Roman advised that that was not a good idea.......THEN I remembered how heavy it was. Boy, was that a good idea........the old TV is soooooo heavy, I almost dropped it........twice......and I have the bruises to prove it! My forearm is all bruised up as the TV is front heavy, and my opposite thigh is bruised from trying to hold it up somehow and not drop it! We finally managed to get it in there though. There is NO WAY we could have carried it upstairs with just the two of us........and Mommy likes to think that she if fairly strong........she's always carrying around 50 + pounds of baby. Daddy is amazed every time he turns the TV on.........and now thinks that he doesn't need to get his glasses prescription updated!

Santa came early for Mommy too.......she got her new camera..........but has only figured out how to turn it on and take a picture. I haven't had time to install the program on the computer yet. Daddy charged the battery and Auntie helped set the date on the camera and get it ready to use.

I will try to post some of the ones I have started and figure the new camera out......maybe on the 26th.......if Mommy doesn't do any "Boxing Day" shopping!

The boys have taken on Sidney's love of dumping things out of the container Mommy so nicely puts them in.........but instead of putting them in another type of container, they like to see if they can fit into the container.....

Cameron says, "See Mommy, I can fit into the basket!"

The boys are really starting to get into books now too. We always read a few before bedtime, and now we moved them lower, so they can pull them out whenever they want.

Mommy was putting away some things and Sidney likes to come in and get into things........she kept asking about the green eyeshadow.....she wanted to put it on herself....and a little of Mommy's lip gloss.

Roman's Company Christmas Party

Roman's company Christmas party was last weekend.........we had a blast! We stayed at the hotel, so we partied until the wee hours of the morning.......something we rarely do. We actually got to get dressed up and eat a hot meal and dance.

this one didn't turn out so great.....it was kind of dark, so I had to edit it a lot....but I thought it was funny.

We had a little too much fun that night.........it took us a couple of days to recover, but it was nice to go out with the grown ups.

Playing at the Park

I took the boys to the park last week while Sidney was in preschool......we were supposed to meet some other kids from their playgroup, but we got there kind of late......they loved this park. They didn't want to leave when it was time to go pick up Sidney and Kendall from school! I told them we would go back soon........

they were running around, back and forth, all over the playground.......here Carter is going over the bouncy bridge.
