Playing at the Bouncy Place

The kids had a playgroup at a bouncy place in July before we left for WA......the kids had a blast!

I even crawled in and was playing with them.......it's actually a great work out!

look at Carter eyeing the jeep.........just waiting his turn

"Yeah"......Sidney is having so much fun!

Carter is having fun too!

I love this one of Cameron......he actually got the ball away from Carter ......for a few seconds anyway......

Ryan's Birthday

I pushed back our trip up to WA a little later this year.....for a couple of reasons.....one, so we didn't overlap with my sister (it gets pretty crowded with 9-11 of us at my Dad's house!), also giving my Dad help for a longer period of time.....................and also so we didn't miss Sidney's friend Ryan's birthday this year!

Cameron....and all the kids were having fun running around in the play structure

here's the birthday boy........5 already!

these three have known each other and been friends since they were babies.......whenever Sidney would ask about her friends it was always J and Ryan.

They had face painting and balloons......the kids favorite! Sidney looks unsure about things here....I thought she would LOVE having her face painted.....she looks like she thought she did something wrong here.

"On guard"

((hugs)) saying their good-byes..........they don't get to see each other much these days now that they've started school.

Playing in the "Rain"

Sidney loves it when it rains.......so when we had the sprinkler out one day she ran to get her umbrella.......Cameron saw hers and wanted one too....I had to go get it out of the car.

of course they ended up dropping them at some point and just running through : ))))))))))

Playgroup at a Play Place

We were supposed to have a playgroup at this play place before our trip.....we got there kind of late (big surprise)......but none of our friends where there........I got a call about an hour later (when I remembered to turn my cell phone ON) that they had gone somewhere else.......the kids had fun though......

Sidney found a new little friend

I was a bit nervous with the boys climbing up into this larger play structure, as in one area there's a large hole..............which Carter fell through, but the drop is not far at all, and it's on a padded area.............he was ok and climbed right back up.

Cameron says "Come down the slide with me Mommy!"

Seeing The Fire Truck

Awhile back....before our trip to WA......one day at the grocery store we saw the fire truck there (we actually see the fire fighters IN the store grocery shopping quite a bit, so I'm guessing there is a station near by), but this day we saw some other kids IN the rig in the parking lot......so we went over to check it out........the fire fighter was very nice and was happy to let any child that came over in to see the truck and gave them all hats.......they had a line of kids waiting to climb in the truck when the other fire fighters came out after finishing their shopping.........they've seen fire trucks before and gotten to get in them, but it never seems to get old.......they always LOVE it!

I had to take this with my cell phone, so it's not the best quality.

Then, a little while later they were actually playing with the hats at home.....

TOO CUTE!!!!!

The Girls Concert

I haven't been to a concert in YEARS.......then, we just happened to go to two in one week (plus the recent symphony............supporting the arts!)
Unfortunately....................the Miley Cyrus concert wasn't exactly what we expected.........It was all her brand new material, that just came out................quite different from her past music...............the girls didn't know the songs................and didn't like them. There was only about 4 songs that they knew...........

We didn't tell them that we were going until right before we left for the concert......

Getting dressed up for Hannah Montana

waiting outside.......now they were getting excited

Sidney always just wants to see what we came there for.......she doesn't like commentary.....or opening acts..............she just wants to get to it!

She had a lot of dancers with her

A song she knows........Maddie's is enjoying herself a little

Sidney says "I think I know this song"

She had quite a few outfit changes too.............all different variations of hot pants

this part was pretty cool!

Dancing

she was really getting into it.......throwing her hair around a lot.......
We spent like twice as much on these tickets as my P!NK tickets (which I LOVED!!!) and Sidney and Madeline were asking to go before the concert was even over (and I had made Sidney take a nap). Today she told me "I'm not loving her anymore Mom"..........Miley is definitely outgrowing her Hannah Montana persona and trying to make her own place in the music industry.......I just wish we would have known that before we shelled out all that money.

One Great Concert

Ok, so I'm jumping around again, but since these are recent and I really got excited about them I thought I would post these first........I really should be resting (or working on balancing the check book - that's what I came upstairs to do).......I had a migraine this morning when I woke up......it's time to break down and go to the chiropractor, I've been waking up every day with a headache for awhile now.............but this morning it was bad! The kind that throbs when you lay down, so I have to sit up and then crank my neck back to help relieve just some of the pressure.....I was starting to get nauseous too......but luckily, I took something for it as soon as I got up (and ate like 2 bites of my yogurt.....and more importantly........managed to keep it down! After a few hours of rest (yeah right, with three screaming kids in the house.....quiet, what's quiet?) I am feeling quite a bit better.......the kids were all crying, so I got up to try and help, but then with all the noise I realized I wasn't quite feeling up to all that......so I escape upstairs for awhile longer..........

ANYWAY.....I digress...................on to the P!NK concert!

We thought we had gotten a late start......but when we go there it seemed like they had just opened the doors, as the line to get in was hundreds of people deep......we made it with plenty of time!

Her entrance.......she dropped down from the ceiling. And although she had separated her shoulder the week before she did not disappoint.......she was dancing all over the stage and as you can see here, hanging from ropes.

So many costume changes too.......she looks GREAT! She is totally ripped!!......oh, wouldn't that be nice : ))))))

In-between songs she would talk to the audience......very real....very down to earth....and performed songs even from her first album........some she really rocked the show......then others were mellow and almost aucapella (sp?).......One of my favorite songs....."Dear Mr. President"

She had me up out of my seat almost the whole time.........."Fun house"

The finale.......she was in this sling and the floor opened up and she was dunked in some water....and came back up........VERY dramatic.........I just LOVED it!!!.....I sooooooo should have brought my video camera!!!

More Playing in the Water

The kids love to go outside after dinner, when it's still hot out, but not the heat of the day and go in the sprinklers.........Daisy likes to get in on the "cooling off action" too!

Weeeeeee

Cameron says "Look Mommy........a fishy!"

yeah........water!

Just Playin'

I thought this was too cute too.............the boys were just playing. My Mom and Step-Dad were over for family dinner.......that's who you hear talking.

the boys being boys

B-A-T-H-Y.........Bath Time!

Roman would kill me if he saw this (he hates it when I pull the cameras out), but I thought it was sooooooo cute! And the kids have an easier time when they have to stop playing and go take a bath when he does this.....they usually like the bath, but know it means it's bedtime soon....so sometimes they fight it........

Fun in the Back Yard

Ok, back to some stuff before our WA trip, to get us caught up.........this was in early July......believe it or not, it's actually almost getting too cold (for us anyway) to go in the pool......I think we only have a few more days (hopefully only a few) of 100 degrees........the kids are even shivering when they get out if it's not in the heat of the day.....they just went in the other night (when it was only 90 something and were freezing!)

a running start

We were watching my sister's dog this week too.......he's older, so he wasn't about to go outside......Daisy likes to jump in the pool when it's near empty and splash in the water.

A Very Merry Unbirthday

The kids got to take a fun class a couple of weeks ago................party hats, cup cakes and just some random fun .........

they got to decorate hats with stickers......the boys even got into and were telling us which stickers to put where, or once we took the backs off would stick them themselves........then, the teacher put the hats together and here Sidney's taking the boys' hats to them
They all had soooo much fun decorating their own cup cakes.....they kept asking for more topping, but were eating more of them than were going on top of the cake. Carter is really concentrating here.

Sidney is taking great care to get hers just right

they actually did pretty well......once they saw all the fun goodies to put on top of their tasty treat, they paused on trying to chow down on them

Cameron's diggin' in!

Sidney's masterpiece

Going to the Symphony

This past weekend we had the pleasure of going to the symphony. We haven't been to the theatre since we've moved to AZ I think........back in San Diego it was one our splurges......we saw Cats, The King and I, Riverdance, Stomp, Phantom....and probably more I can't think of at the moment.........Roman saw a Beethoven concert listed and really wanted to go, so we splurged. My Mom came with us too!

They did a tribute for 9/11 that was almost kind of erie.....but neat.......I always feel like I should be at home though, lying in bed....relaxing.....as it puts me to sleep.....in a good way though.

Cameron's Big Accomplishment

We've started to push the potty training a little more with the boys recently.....having them sit on their potty chairs more and watching a couple of different potty videos. We've been sitting them on the potty before the bath for quite awhile......but they will usually only sit there for about 5 seconds and then say that they're "all done"

they weren't too interested in the video

but they did sit there for a few minutes.....then I pulled the potty seats over to the coffee table so they could run their cars on the table......and........I'm not sure if he realized it or not (but Mommy caught it out of the corner of her eye as he was standing up) that he went.........as soon as I notice, I had him sit back down and he went in the potty! #1 AND #2.....ok, most of the pee went on the floor, but we had to all look at it get REAL excited!!!!!! Let's hope the boys will be more open to it than their big sister was!

Sidney's First Day of the 4's Preschool

Sidney has been talking about school all summer.....she really missed it (and seeing her cousin)! We got to meet her teacher a couple of weeks ago......she's very nice, but Sidney keeps saying that she wanted her teachers from last year.

all ready to go!

usually my sister takes them and I pick them up......but since it was the first day we both went....we just happened to arrive at the same time......hugs from the teacher

the boys just marched right in and went to find the cars......the girls were a little more hesitant, even Kendall.......it's a different room & different teachers........Sidney was being VERY shy.....I ended up staying for almost half an hour.

Some familiar faces.....she's starting to warm up here........there are 7 or 8 kids in her class from last year, so that helps too. I think it's going to be a great year. I can't wait to work in the class and see it in action.
