Hovander Farm - Second Visit

We had to take Uncle Zach to a friends house the other day, so Mommy took this opportunity of us being out and about to go to a park...........and since we were out in Ferndale, she decided to go to Hovander again since all of the kids liked it so much. It was absolutely beautiful. Not too hot and there was a slight breeze that felt wonderful! The kids are just fascinated by the animals. I remembered again to grab some quarters and a baggie to put the dried corn in for the animals from the machine, but I think one of the pigs, (or some animal must have gotten a hold of it as Sidney came walking back up to me with a pout on her face because the bag now had a hole in it. We managed to save some of the food from spilling out so she could feed the roosters and ducks.

"Mommy, can you say "here pig, pig, pig" to get the pigs to come here".......(Sidney thinks that Mommy can get any animal to come on command

The pigs obviously knew these people - they looked like they had chef's uniforms on - as they came over to them right away. Sidney was excited to get a closer look. (she has been watching Charlotte's Web II almost constantly the past few days.

Sidney and Carter get a close view of the sheep

Carter and Cameron are fascinated by the sheep and want to climb over the fence to get a closer look

We were lucky that the horses came out from under their covered shelter. They were galloping down the field....................it was so neat.......................of course I couldn't get the video camera out in time though

Sidney was just fascinated by the goats...............we spent a lot of time here, feeding the mommy and baby goat some grass and berry leaves.

"Hi Mommy, hi Baby"

"Uh oh................she dropped it"....she wanted to feed them, then would get nervous when they went to eat it out of her hand and would drop it.

"Here you go....."

The boys were starting to melt down though, as their nap schedule was off, so we had to cut the trip short. We might try to go out there one more time before we leave.
